You did not provide a direct URL to your picture. Here is the URL you provided

https://picasaweb.google.com/106366066227033330010/BackYard#5742098360992744690

Notice there is no extension such as .jpg or .gif.

Here is a tutorial.

Tom,
I am so frustrated but this trying to post pictures to RV.NET. So many people post their pictures with so much simplicity and I just can't figure it out. I have tried to follow the instructions for posting from the Picasa web album but I don't get anything that is similar to the tutorial you provided.

Picasa is a very unfriendly host site for posting pictures on a forum. Google makes no money, when a direct link is used to a picture and no advertising is displayed with the picture. I can't say with certainty that is why they make it so hard to get a Direct URL, but it could be.

I see that Picasa has changed again. the Link to this Photo link has been replaced with a Link to this album link. That would not work to display a picture. It could be used to make a 'clickable' link that one could click on to open a page to your album.

However, it appears to me that they have just added another step.

With your album open, click on a picture.

That opens a page that contains the picture as a thumbnail.

Note: I've added a line to the tutorial to indicate this extra step.

Click on that picture.

Another page opens with a larger version of the picture and the Link to Photo link on the right, ad depicted in the tutorial.

Get to that position and follow the the tutorial.

Looks like you didn't click on the Image only checkbox before copying the link.

After putting a check in that box, then copy the Embed Image URL. It will look similar to this.

I think I've almost got it. I just posted a picture on one of the test topics. But some of the pictures don't offer the option to "link to this photo" only "link to this album". Thanks for you help

On the page with a picture and a Link to Album link, what happens when you click on the picture? Another page should open that has Link to Photo

Tom,
For some reason, the pictures now display "link to photo".

So how does one go about uploading a lot of pictures with discriptions of each as when doing a trip report.

Thanks for all help

Ken
