I camped this past weekend and it got a little cool in the night. I turned on my furnace. My question is should my fan for my ducted air conditioner unit be running at the same time as my furnace??? The heat would kick off and on and the fan of the AC ran all the time. Is that normal. Thanks
Mine will do the same thing. On my thermostat, you can select 3 modes, Fan, Heat or A/C. If your mode is on fan it will run with the furnace on or off. Your thermostat should have the option to turn the fan off, I think mine actually is displayed as AUX ON or AUX OFF.
If you have the Dometic digital thermostat, the A/C fan is controlled by the "fan" setting. If you want the A/C fan to come on, click the mode to "fan" and set it to "lo" or "hi". If you don't, set it to "Au" for Auto.

Ditto here...
This gives you the option of using your AC blower with your furnace blower, or not, at your choice. You should have got a little booklet with your thermostat, if not, I would bet you can find a copy of it online.
It is normal for the newer digital thermostats to have that feature.
He said the fan for the AC was running, not the compressor.
It can be set up this way to circulate a LOT of air quickly. When we boondock while hunting we sometimes use this feature to quickly dry clothes on a rack.
If one doesn't like it, it is easy to turn it off.
If one likes it, it is easy to turn on.
The best of both worlds, the user can set it up however they want!
