Hi

Was hoping that someone could help me with directions on the water heater.

I have been trying to light the pilot and no luck.

I made sure that the propane is on, I move the switch to pilot then I light the lighter and try to light the piolot. Nothing.

Is there something that I am missing.

This is our first camper

Layton lite 2005

I light the oven and stove no problems

The heat and ac work great

Just this heater thing uuuggggghhhh

Are you pressing the valve down?

Turn to pilot - Press down - Light and hold down for about 30 seconds. There is a thermocouple that is a safety feature. The thermocouple has to heat up. If it is not hot, it won't allow the burner to come on.
When the pilot will stay lit - turn to on.

If you still have no gas flow you may have a spider web or something blocking the orafice, Usually a paper clip or needle will clear it out. Spiders make webs inside burner tubes and sometimes need brushing out.

Hope this helps
