I am towing a Ford Edge behind my 2003 Pace Arrow and since the Edge is brand new, I would like to keep the front of it as clean as possible. Can any one offer advice on which protective shield works best for them?

I have a Rock Shield Guardian fromn Roadmaster and it works very well. I have been using it for over eight years.

My personal opinion...... It's just one more thing that I don't want to have to deal with! Been towing for years and have seen no damage caused by it, that's any worse than driving the car down the highway.

..This is what I struggle with on this matter as well.
We're setting up our vehicle to tow 4 down, and am debating whether or not to get any kind of shield for the towed vehicle. Trying to keep the hookup/unhook operation as simple and easy as possible, and a shield like this would not help with that.
I may get something like the Ultra Gard mud flap that permanently mounts on bottom of the MH. At least that wouldn't be one more thing to have to attach and take off.

We did a long trip last summer (6000+ miles) and trashed the paint and broke the windshield on our nearly new Wrangles due to some bad roads. We have a flap on the back of the MH, but I am wondering now if the flap actually caused most of the damage. I suspect that when you hit a bump in the road, the flap contacts the ground and kicks up anything that is on the road.
I added a bra, but it still leaves the fenders and bumper exposed on the Wrangler. I was in the middle of designing a custom guard similar to the Protect-a-tow, but my wife suggested simply removing the flap instead. That seams to be the best solution.
Its strange, however, that if the flap is causing all the damage, why are RV manufactures putting them on?

We started with a protect-a-toad. We lost it early on our first trip. All the hardware was still on the RV and car but the fabric and spreader bar were gone. The Bungie cord must have broke.
I tried a bra next, bad idea , it made things worse trapping dirt underneath and scratching the paint. We now don't use anything and have had no damage.
