Just as long as you know that there's a 100% chance they are going to...

1) Sell you something you don't really need.
2) Show you some things that just HAVE to be repaired/replaced.
3) Explain that you don't really know how to RV properly without one of THESE!
4) Give you 100 ways that an extended warranty is really, really what you want.

Since business has been so slow during the recession some of the car dealers have been sending out postcards, come in for your free inspection. They are betting they can find something to repair. Just another business tactic to make money.

Thanks, I'm just concerned about a few things with it right now. We are in the mountains of New Mexico, and the RV (class A) was really straining up the long hills and we had to run the heat because the engine was getting hot. I don't know if that's to be expected or if there is something that needs to be discussed with a mechanic, and even if that's what I could talk to them about (if that's their area of expertise, as opposed to things like "is the propane valve okay").

Check your RV yourself , of course camping world will sell you something. You would be better off doing it yourself then you will learn about your rig and if something does go wrong you will be able to deal with it

My goodness, such negativity. Not cool, prejudging an entire organization because ...because why....did either of you who threw cold water on the OP's desire for a safety check ever have CW do one and "try to sell you unneeded parts or service". But, I suppose you are "experts" in the field of RV everything. One cautionary note I have is that the definition of "expert" can be :
X = Unknown quantity
Spurt = small drop of water

So, to the OP I say if you feel the need go to CW and let them do the check and then decide how you want to proceed.....and as was said in the Wizard of OZ, "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain....the Great and Powerful OZ has spoken".

Having been in business for myself, I know that commerce is kinda important They won't exist for long without being able to sell you something.
