the local Ford dealer is going to try and warranty it. Goodwill I am sure, since I bought the truck there. Service manager says that if Ford wants them to send in the fuel line, then that could present a problem. Have to wait and see.
Going to check with the city offices Monday on their local critter ordinances. The city cut down four trees along the edge of my yard (legally city property on the edge of the street) since they were starting to grow into the power lines. Suppose since the tree rats lost living space, they've decided that big, portable shelter in my driveway should be their new smorgasbord.
Keep the ideas coming folks, all are much appreciated!

One of my neighbors in Arvada used to shoot tree rats with CB shorts and they were quieter than my daisy air rifle. Craig

With all the comments going around lately about Fords warranty coverage, it will be interesting to see what the outcome is...Do keep us updated.

If the tree rats are the only "rats" that you are worried about in your neighborhood, you can always go the cheap route. Leave the hood open. Critters like closed up areas. But, if you have other "rats" in the area, your batteries become an easy target.

Only when they weasel out of paying a reasonable contractual obligation.
