Our Cameo is wired for generator. Onan is the switch that was installed. They are really expensive. Just wondered if anybody else may have found a generator that would fit in place of Onan, and still hook to prewired stuff. I've used Kipor, but would prefer something else. Thanks.

Onan, Kohler, Generac, or any other generator designed to run in a compartment. You can not use just any generator, they have to be designed to run in a confined space. They have special ducting, cooling, exhaust and fuel systems designed for the purpose. Look on EBay and Craig's list for used ones, you can pick one up pretty reasonable if you look .

Onan may be expensive but they are good generators. I would stay away from Generac, the bottom of the generator barrel.
