Unfortunately, over the past few years, society has to make you feel guilty for having some assets. If I don't have what you have, I want it any way I can get it, instead of looking inward, on how to attain the things in life, I want.

We bought our class A a year ago and they haven't asked us to go camping since. Some people can't accept others' accomplishments. Frankly that's their problem not mine.
Have you asked them to go with you? Maybe they feel you don't want to go with them anymore?

Maybe this is a bit off topic but,,
What DOES bug me is when some people have very nice RVs and are afraid to use them for whatever reason. Kinda defeats the whole idea of RVing IMHO
Just a short story about what I mean.
Quite a few years ago we were at a local cg. At that time we owned a 18ft TT.
On the site next to us pulls in a really nice Prevost . After they got set up, we went over to chat with the wife.
Now here's the weird part,, She proceeds to tell us that she envies us.
She said, your little camper is so cozy and inviting looking and I miss those days. Here I am with a 1.7 million dollar MH that I can't use. It's just for looks. My husband wont allow me to cook or eat in it, I'm not allowed to have a campfire for fear of smell entering the coach, and we don't use the bathrooms in it.
Long story short, she wound up spending the whole weekend over with us at our site lol.
Kinda made me feel REAL good about our little TT.
How do you like that? Hahaha

Sounds like her DH was the one with the problem ! It's like the folks (good folks mind you) who cover all their living room furniture and never use it.
My DW (before when she was DG)and I started out tent camping for years (many). Married, 2 kids, still in a tent - we loved it. At some point we shared the same thought that, how cool it would be if we bought something, anything that had a bathroom and beds for us and the kids. We first got a toy hauler (awesome) then a gasser (more awesome) and finally a DP (most awesome). Don't feel one bit bad, we earned it fair and square. Happy, would be the best description, followed by comfortable !!

I spent 21 years serving in the military with lots of family separation and missing many holidays, birthdays, etc. Then retired taught high school for another 12 years and retired again. DW served in the federal government for 30 years now we are both retired and full-timing. We earned our retirement and living in our nice motor home. We also are volunteers at state parks as park hosts and love helping others enjoying the camping experience. Camping is a lifestyle and it doesn't matter to me if you are in a tent or a class A DP we all have the same idea of enjoying the outdoors and meeting others that enjoy the same. Our country is a beautiful place and we are so fortunate to be able to travel and see all the wonderfulness and beauty of this great country of ours. Happy RVing all and Enjoy!

Yep, several times. Even offered to tow their pop up on long trips.
