Hello. We live in Delaware and have two young children. My wife and I love to rv, but my parents need to stay in a hotel. We are extremely fond of Stonewall Jackson Lake state park in WV and have been there many times. What is the allure, you may ask? There is a hotel on site with nice meals, playgrounds, a pool, an awesome lake, activities, etc. My parents can walk over to the campground or take the shuttle over. We are looking for something similar and hopefully, closer to Delaware. We would really like to go to Rocky Gap or Deep Creek Lake in MD, but they do not seem to have hotels close enough. Is anyone aware of a mirror image of Stonewall that is nearby to Delaware? Thanks so much! Jim
My in-laws go to Lancaster County PA, and stay at a place called Bird-in-Hand Inn....they tell me there is a CG right behind the Inn....I think it's called Country Acres....the Tel. # for the Inn is 1-800-537-2535
*Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming - "WOW, What a ride!"

Just called the Inn to verify what I've been told....and posted. It seems that the CG is 3 miles away from the Inn, just off of Rt. 30....but it is Country Acres, and thier Tel. # is 866-675-4745
Any of the Virginia State Parks with newer cabins (such as Lake Anna or James River). The cabins are fully furnished - bring your own sheets and towels. They are not rustic, very nice. No TV but does include fireplace, microwave, ice maker, gas grill, porch with rocking chairs.

Various VA State parks have cabins that are fully equipped, some may not have TV's but they have all the other comforts of homes. We also have friends that want to go with us and they do not camp but have stayed at various cabins in the VA state park system. We stayed at a cabin in Canaan that was 2 bedroom, one bedroom had a double bed and the other had 2 twins, there was no microwave or television in these cabins but there was a kitchen, living room and bathroom our friends said it was similar to one they stay at in Westmoreland state park in VA. They also have a lodge in Canaan that we've stayed at several times.
