To me it seems the hinge is on the wrong side , if it were left unlocked it would blow right off . That might be why it is upside down .

That camper looks great on your truck; a Ute on a short bed looks as big as a Cuchara on a long bed. I think by the time you get up to a Ute or Cuchara class Hallmark they are a little heavier than one would think because they are so loaded up in standard form.
If your Dodge has the factory overload springs mounted above the spring pack you might want to consider adding Stable Loads to your overload spring perches before you get air bags. They are a lot cheaper than air bags and seem to help with side sway also.
I used to have to run 60 to 70 lbs in my air bags, after Stable Loads 20 to 30 lbs and I could run them empty but I like to have the rear slightly higher. I use the air bags to level the truck side to side now more than to carry the weight of the camper.

Our first camper was a '99 Ute XL, loved it. Longest trip about 1 month to Mexico. I'd add solar first with a higher end charge controller, it makes all the charging issues go away for us. One of the problems we had was with the batteries being overcharged and boiling dry. Many of the built in battery chargers at the time did not do very good voltage control and have multi-stage charging as the newer versions do. I think it is bestconverter.com that has good ones at good prices and sound advice. CW is way to $$$.
We now have a generator and it is mainly used to make coffee and cocoa in the morning. The generator really eats fuel just to charge the battery as most converters are only 40 amp so they only charge at 500 watts max, not much for a 2kw generator. I have 2 110watt solar panels that start charging when the sun comes up,but parking in the shade will cut the output to almost nothing. I'd ask around for how to run the wiring on a popup, that could get interesting, but somebody has solved it between the Hallmark and Outfitter folks on this forum.

Good luck with your new prize! I had to remove a vent rain shield to get my Sunlite in the garage. I replaced the existing vent with a Fantastic Fan. The previous owner did a blotched job installing an AC through the left side where the battery once stood. I finished the job but doubt if I will ever use it since I rarely go to CG's. Hole was already cut so I had no choice. After the latest repair on the torsion bar rear mounts the next step maybe to install solar power. Does your unit have a head and hot water? Check to see if the unit will still fit in the garage if you install airbags or other lifts. I know mine will not fit if I try but I don't need them

It looks like some took a door that was supposed to be for the other side of the TC and used it on the driver's side. Rather than redo the door, place a weather shield inside that will funnel water down and out the bottom UNLESS the door and frame can be completed removed and flipped to put the hinge in front. That would be the best solution of course.

Nice looking set-up. I bet you are excited to go out and play.
Good luck on the suspension thing. So far, everything I've tried to beef up the suspension ends up stiffening the unloaded ride and off-road performance.

FOR SURE try Stable Loads before air bags. They work like a charm and have rendered my air bags useless.
