I want to tow with a hich that is recessed in the bed of my friends truck. I have the standard hitch now, but want to borrow a friend truck and he was the hitch with the ball in the bed to tow his boat. Is there away to do this?
Thanks for your help.

This is going to be fun. I'm gonna go toss some popcorn in the microwave. Don't start till I get back.

OK it sounds like your friend has a gooseneck hitch ball installed in his truck. If you are saying that you want to move your standard hitch with rails to his, I'd guess the answer is no. Not without installing rails in his truck. The B&W Companion does use a gooseneck ball but I doubt either of you have that hitch and I think it has some additional attachment points in the bed of the truck.

Before you change your pinbox to a gooseneck hitch I would call your manufacturer's customer service. If you handle means you have a Keystone Cougar I can tell you from several folks discussions with Keystone that using a gooseneck hitch will void your frame warranty. Not something you want to do.

If you still want a friend, don't use his truck to tow your trailer... God, what could go wrong??/
