Consider that, when all you want to do is charge batteries, watch a movie, or run microwave, one 2k is all you need. Break out the 2nd only when needed for A/C. With a 3k you will be running a lot of motor with small load.

We went with the eu2000. Purchased it at a local honda dealer for $100 less than online! With tax just over $900, so light and runs so quiet.

Have a Yamaha 3000. Go with one big unit but above all stay away from a Boliy. No matter that it is compact and light weight, just dont even look at one.

Hi,

I'd go for the 3000 and get a lift unit of some kind.

I agree on the Boliy--anyone want to buy an unreliable generator shaped object?

The Handi 3000 is a lower cost 3000 than the EU3000 and is considerably noisier.

I had two EU 2000 for several years but they take up two much room so I bought the EU3000 and bought a hydraulic lift from Harbor Freight that lifts the gen to the height of the tail gate then I set it on a moving dolly that moves back and forth. Very little lifting for this old 75 year old. Less than moving the the two 2000s. I can run several friends RVs as we dry camp. I sold my remaining
EU2000 today on Craigs List for $750 plus I only paid $1,100 for the EU3000
off Craigs List that was used three times

We opted for two eu2000i (one the Companion) and just love them.

if you are young enough or strong enough to handle the weight of a 3000 get one, if not get two 2000's

Thinking of selling my 2 -EU2000's and buying 2 -EU3000's then I can run both ac's and anything else I want. Just mount them in the front corners of the truck bed and not worry about moving them.

I've got the Honda EU 3000 IS and i agree it's a P.I.T.BUTT to haul around but this thing will run my rig with AC and mostly it's so reliable! What i did was to build a tray that fits into the reciever on the back of my fiver and thats where it lives, also i made a seperate shorty chord that hooks my genny up to my fiver so the whole set-up is always ready to go when needed,by the way if you notice the crunch damage thats what happens when you try to haul it in the back of the truck bed and not consider the hight of it when jack-knifing the trailer,,dough!!

We have the Honda eu3000, mounted on wheels and a carrier that goes into the truck rec. and powers everything. As others have said change the oil and filters and runs for ever. If you are only charging batts it has a swich to kep rpms down.
