Carry a box of regular old flares in the toad. Great for starting campfires and getting rid of gophers........as a former LEO we had them in the trunks of our cars forever...rare was the dud...but the OP is simply pointing out new products that might be worth looking at if you're into alternatives to regular flares.....Dennis

They are nice lights, but they use expensive (and hard to find) CR123A batteries.

I bought these which are rechargeable
