Seriously, she will just sit at my feet even if a place a blanket in the shade or between the DW and I. In the trailer, she will sleep on the blanket though.
I had to laugh. We have cocker spaniels and they are chow hounds, too. I've always said, when they turn down food, you know you are in serious trouble. I love a dog that hangs out with me. That's what I have them for -- companions.

I'm trying my first photo. I think I have it resized properly. I hope I didn't mess up.
These are our babies.
Oh, and if anyone ever sees us camping, they will know us. The cockers love the flat dash when we are parked. They lay up there and just love watching people go by. Cowboy lines his babies up across the dash and lays there - he even opens the curtains in the morning so he can see out.

I buy sun shade off the roll at Lowes for under the ex-pen's. You can hose it off, dries in seconds and folds up into a lightweight flat 12 inch square for storage. Bought a wire top for my expen and cut to fit the sunshade material for on top of that for shade.

We were camping last weekend at the casino in Joliet, IL. Neat set up next to us, 4 Irish Wolfhounds, two X-pen enclosures, two canopies with a sun shade on the west aspect. It got to the mid 90's so they got a little shower at the hottest part of the day. Very nice, well behaved dogs.
I should have taken a picture of the setup... It looked kind of like Raindove's, only SUPERSIZED. BTW good job with the picture.
The dogs spent the night indoors (good thing they had a huge motorhome) as floor space would have been tight

Dr. Doug,
That would be the "Heart of Illinois Cluster Dog Shows" circuit people on the way to the dog show!!
5-25 to 5-28 Four All Breed Shows at one place.
We all used to leave early for 'that' circuit to take in the casino's!
And what you would have found 'inside' that MH was a piece of furniture taken out and 4 crates in its place.
What you saw outside their RV at the CG is exactly how we set up our RV's at the shows only multiply that times 500 MH's parked like sardines and 2,000 dogs .........and come 8:00 at night you can hear a pin drop in our parking area. So I know first hand you 'can' keep a dog from barking in a CG with a lot of distractions!

Raindove,
Mine has never collapsed. Murphy was pretty small the last time we went camping but now up to about 20 pounds but I don't think there will be a problem as I have sat on it and I'm about 180. You may want to contact Dave1131 for one of his (or see a local trainer they are called place boards for training).

LOL I shop clearance and closeouts -- I stumbled across that pop up canopy for $19 early last year. Despite DH's protests, I bought it and I've been glad I did ever since. It's just like the big pop ups - is easy to set up and take down and keeps the dogs in the shade. Folds up into a carry bag. It's great.
