It's a great state park. Click on the link below where I have about 80 pictures of the entire place including all the camping areas. Try to get a site in the Mesquite loop. It's at the far end of the park and beautiful during sunsets. Sites are big and spacious.

They gave me the gate code once I checked in though, so you can come back late if you are already checked in. If thats something you may need to do during your stay.

Definitely agree with this. It's a ways back there from the entrance, but well worth it!!
Don't expect to have shade, be mindful of thunderstorms that can pop up (they cause flash-flooding), and by all means do the hike to the lighthouse. Well worth the effort!!
Great park!!
Enjoy,

Great park to visit. we live about 120 miles away so have been there a number of times. Over the years many neat improvements. The show is very professional, and has been there since I was young. I'm 67 so no longer young. I still enjoy going and watching the show Texas. I've camped there and it is very nice.
