In my experience, owners of yappy-barky dogs seem immune to their activity.
"Oh, my dogs don't bark", they say, as they take off for the day or the evening.

If a dog barks while the owners are away from the campground, you should let them know. Otherwise, they won't be aware there is a problem.

Oh, this is a painful subject because I love dogs and enjoy having them, but nothing irritates me more than having a dog barking and all the owners do is smile like its just fine their cute little pups are driving the rest of the world nuts. Barking dogs have no place in campgrounds. They should be left at home.

2X. I'm not paying to hear yer dog yap, and yap. If you can't shut it up then don't bring it.

We taught all our dogs it is NEVER ok to bark inside the camper. Never had any troubles. Maybe we've always had smart dogs? Six were German Shepherds, current one is Australian Shepherd.

I think all dogs can be taught, but some OWNERS can't be.

I don't buy the notion that folks can have a dog and "not know" it's a barker when the owners aren't around to tell them to knock it off..

Mine does that, I know she does, and I never leave her unattended in a campground.

In an Residential setting, most laws will say if the dog "disturbs the peace and well being of the neighbors...it is a nuisance. In a Privately Owned Campground, it becomes the responsibility of the Management or Owner of the property.

Our dearly departed sweetheart Sheltie "Walley" was NOT a barker...we could leave him in the trailer while we went shopping...and took him with when sight seeing.

He did however really, really HATE our mailman!
