I just bought a Hyundai Accent 2012 manual transmission thinking it was towable, but now that I'm reading the owner manual I'm not so sure. The dealer say it is towable but it's not clear in the manual. Is there someone who owns that vehicle and use it as a dinghy ?
If the dealer is willing to put it in writing that it is towable, and towing it behind an RV will not adversely effect the warranty, go ahead and tow it.
If the dealer is unwilling to put it in writing, he probably does not really KNOW, and I would be unwilling to take a chance.
The Remco Application Charts only go to 2011, but this is what it says:
"1995 - 2011 Hyundai Accent
Towable as is. Refer to owners manual for confirmation and procedures.
Is it safe to assume that the 2012 is the same? I don't know!

Haven't bought one yet but plan to in next few days. My dealer called their company rep who said "yes" it is towable. Also, Motothome Magazine's "2012 Dinghy Roundup" shows no restriction for the manual transmission. Unfortunatly neither the owners manual nor the dealer has any information as to what is required to prep the car for towing.
