2011 stealth 2206 toy hauler. Last summer when we picked it up, it had a leak under the shower. They fixed it. Used it a few times, then put it up for storage. Use it for the first time this weekend and i ALWAYS look for water just out of habit. I found 2 spots. On the rear drivers side corner of the trailer the vinyl is pushing up a bit. Moisture under there.
Under the vehicle with the black plastic, the insulation is wet in a few spots. Also, when we were using it on the trip this weekend, my wife noticed water under the sink. I tracked it down and the filter on the water pump was spitting out water. Tightened it down with no issues.
I dont know what to do. Im lost here. Do i call the service department or the dealership or both? Any ideas/ suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Read your warrenty, what does it say?
I would all my ducks in row;
I would fill up fresh water tank/s any leaks Yes/no
Then use self contained mode (using water pump) and just sit there listening for the pump to well pump, maybe 5 min. If the pump makes a "burp" (short burst) with everything off you have water leak somewhere. Being newer It might be just some plastic thread has worked its self loose and can tighten up again or could be bigger problems. But you have found out the supply side is leaking or not.
The drain side is not so easy because all water draining is gravity and not under presure and can be a pain to find. You would be ahead of the game to drain and flush everything good because it could make your working area a lot better to deal with.
If the dealer is going to do it, be able to be specific as to where the leaks are. Under belly's are a pain. Ours turned out to be a nail (staple) poped a hole in drain up underneath the bath drain. Took a long time to finally find the leak and more time to get under belly on and off.
A lot of newer stuff works its self loose, and the hot water is the worst. After you get it watertight again, do a test every year when your winterizing.

What does your dealer say? If dealer is not in area go to where the manufacture says to go. Or is it still covered?
If your still lost with my above post, (because you've never done it before or insrtuctions not clear) shoot me PM
Getting the problems worked out at first are sometimes very maddening.
Friends had a brand new motorhome, slide leaked from day 1.

Good info. thank you. IM calling the service dept. and the dealer today to find out about warranty work. If they tell me to pack sand my idea is this.
I found that one leak where it was coming out of the water pump. THat could be the cause because the water is near that area. I plan on lowering both fresh water tanks. Removing the lower insulation. Letting the wood dry or heat dry the wood. Then linexing the underside. I dont use the trailer ever when its cold.
This sound like a bad idea? Whats your thoughts??

Quote: I found that one leak where it was coming out of the water pump Good, Do you have access to fix it?
Please don't take this wrong I'm trying to help you the best I can but it seems to me you are all over the place with the problems you are having. Don't even think about your RV for a couple of days, then start to put together a plan of attack. A plan of attack would start by:
1. Is manufacture responisble?
2. And how much will it cost me if he is responsible.

I appreciate the help. I called the dealer and service. The trailer is out of warranty. May of 2012. And water leaks are only 90 days. Horsepoop....
So, i will fix it myself. I mentioned when we were on the trip i saw water under the sink and traced it to the w ater pump.. I tightened that all up. I need to remove the insulation under the trailer in a few spots. Its just holding the water against the wood.
My plan is this. Remove the insulation in the wet areas, then test like you said for other leaks. If nothing, i will then reseal. Just wanted advice on what or how to reseal. I do not use it in winter.

I figured you might be out of warranty, but I don't think I've ever heard of a 90 limit on water leaks. That sounds like they don't have much confidence in themselves.

You might want to verify that there even is insulation under the floor. A lot of units use the underbelly barrier and the airgap it creates for the R value. Maybe drop enough right in the leak area to see what is going on under there. Just a thought.

Well, this is the SECONd water leak. The first one was under the shower, it got the insulation all wet. I cut open a few holes and there is insulation, and its wet.
So my question is what do i replace it with??? I can get it all out and all dry and fix the leaks, but what do i use in its place? Nothing? Just a plastic barrier to keep road water off the wood?
