After spending hours washing the nose and waxing it I thought I was good for a year with the black streaks....not so much. Only two months later I had streaks all over the place.

I was washing the boat the other night and was trying to get the grease off the steering arm and my neighbor brought over a spray bottle of Formula 88. One spray and the grease was gone...couldn't believe it.

So Saturday I started washing the camper again and sprayed some on the nose as a test and to my amazement the black streaks came right off...it cleaned the diesel from the back side also. 30 minutes and the camper looked almost new...

I never indorse any product but this stuff is insane so I had to share.

As with any strong cleaner caution should be observed. This product contains a strong alkaline compound that could damage certain surfaces under the right conditions. You can bet it took any wax off.

Im not sure if it took the wax off. It still shines and water beads off of it.

It says not to use on unfinished wood.

Its Simple Green on steroids.

thank you for the update. i know i use the "black streak remover" but it doesnt seem to do a great job. maybe i waiting too long before trying to clean them off. maybe using the stuff you did would be good for once or twice a year with the less corrosive cleaners in between. time will tell i guess.

Best way I found to stop the black streaks is to remove the main cause, scrub the roof.

Black streaks?????What are those??? This is my 4th RV that Ive owned and I very seldom get a black streak on it. The previous 3 always had issues with black streaks. Sometimes I'll get one on the rear and occasionally the front nose. I credit Northwood for the great rain gutter and gutter extensions that they use. Never had one on the sides.

i get black streaks on the nose of the camper. the roof gets washed everytime i wash the other parts of the camper. my camper sits nose lower as that is how my truck sits. 99 c3500. i guess if i ramped the front when its parked then the runoff would go to the rear and then there would not be an issue with the marks up front.
