The best rodent protection I've encountered is parking a TT where there are a ton of feral farm cats.
Second best is not just using spray foam, but using a medium (not too fine) stainless steel wool (different from regular steel wool because it won't rust) is the best thing to block openings. Rodents will gnaw through foam, but they will not chew through steel wool, so use the foam to keep the steel wool in place.
We've had our 5er for about 8 years, we keep it parked in our driveway when not on the road. We keep a bowl of cat food under the RV, out of the weather which basically invites the neighborhood house and feral cats to dine in.
On more than one ocassion we have found dead mice and moles under and near the RV. Never one inside!

I don't know if this works...haven't tried it. I read on another RV forum to apply pure peppermint oil to cotton balls and spread around the coach and basement.

The best thing probably is park in a very open area, where there is no grass, trees weeds etc. mice don't like open areas, they always run allong walls.
My brother caught 12 of them this past winter in his trailer,, he had is parked close to tall grass, and a some old out buildings, he will park it in a different spot next winter. an open area.

I would worry the cat food would attract skunks and raccoons. They would look at the food and RV and think, 'Hmmm, this is gonna be a cozy winter!'
