One of the guys in our RV club took the photo below of the Ironman tire on one of his wheels. He questioned whether there might be an issue with the sidewall. General consensus seems to be that there is still plenty of tread on the tire, it holds air very well and the possible imperfection is on the inside of the tire and cannot be seen without crawling under the fifth wheel. So, no real problem.

I got rid of my Ironman china bomb specials with only 3000 miles on them....that's what I think of them and they were brand new...

As far as the picture, you've gotta be kiddin.....yes, plenty of tread left, but a blow just waiting to happen!!

He has a tire failure. Unless he gets it off it will fail with catastrophic results.

General Consensus? Seriously? General who, and what army is he in? He'll be lucky to make it 20 miles on that tire!

I bet most of those 16" chinabombs are from the same mold, the tread, sidewall, and bubble look identical to the Towmax that came on my trailer.

When I picked up my latest utility trailer I went straight to the tire shop from the trailer dealer. The tire busters did not even want the brand new Carlisle tires, they all went sailing into the dumpster.
