My new Cedar Creek 36B4 came with clear shower doors. The problem is that my DW hates them. The water is fairly hard and leaves residue that is unsightly. Rather then wash the glass after every shower we were hoping it is possible to somehow frost the glass to hide the residue a little. Any ideas?

You can get frosted paint in a rattle can. You can get a kit and etch it, too, but that would be more expensive and more work.

Clean the glass and spray with WD-40. I read this works great.

...I've heard that car wax will also help "sheet" the water...probably time consuming in the beginning, but worth it - I use Turtle Wax Ice products and love them!

We use a "squeegy" and a microfiber cloth on the shower walls and glass door.
The shower looks as good as the day we bought the trailer.(7 years ago)Wish I could say the same about the outside of the trailer.

If you wash your shower (glass) with simple water softener mix (like Calgon) mixed with water, it will break-up the white spots. No soap needed. You may want to use a scrubbie pad. Once clean, use car wax on the glass. Then after a shower, if you have a squigee, just squigee it down. We do this at home (2 different showers) and it works wonderful, and we live in the country with very hard water.

Unless your glass come originally frosted, you may be disappointed with the end results if you try to frost it yourself now.

I put Rain-X on ours. Got it from auto parts store. Squeegy it down after shower.
