Do your self a HUGE favor and replace ALL the fusible link you can find with appropriate circuit breakers. Have down this on several P-30s and it's the truth. A circuit breaker will reset and in my world makes it much easier to find a short or over loaded circuit.

anything wrong with putting a new 25 amp "blade" type in-line fuse. Really circuit breaker out of the question. no room and I don't want it under the hood. I suspect that the 15amp fuse was probably too small and contributed to it getting hot and eventually blowing. probably 30 amp fuse would be better.

Clif,

What size wire goes to relay and on to fan.

Fuses are sized to protect wiring.

My relay is right on top of the fan housing. I found one day while checking it my test light I could get it to come on by putting the test light on the sensor side of the relay.

fixed. I just replaced the old wiring inline blade fuse with a new 'sealed' one with 25 amp fuse. works like a charm.
