Hello all I previously had an Aljo 3225 Triple Slide 5th wheel so I have entered the completely other end of the size and weight scale with my new purchase. I wanted something I could town with my minivan or the one ton truck and quite honestly just wanted something small and easy to put anywhere.
So far I am not too impressed with the trailers initial quality but I will work through those issues as they continue to come up.
Problems so far have been...
* The stereo was miss-wired for TV so had to tear that apart and correct
* Heater still has a burning smell after a few hours of use.
* Power awning switch was wired backwards had to fix that.
* TV did not work at all had to tear that apart until I found the fuse holder is crap, replaced that and it seems to be working fine.
*Double stick tape used to hold the valance up over sliding door is not holding, will repair with new tape but really?
* Bathroom sliding door is hard to roll and is already scratched up from rubbing, will have to investigate how to fix this one...
* Worst of all is my slide is leaking a ton of water into the trailer when in the stowed position that I am having to figure out but since lance does not answer their phones so far little luck with that :-(
Things I LOVE about the trailer...
* Towed great behind the Chrysler T&C with the 3.6L down to Oregon coast and back.
* Significant amount of storage considering the size of the trailer, the slide out bin in the belly is just plain AWESOME!
* The pass through storage under the bed is great for having stuff like sodas etc. where you want to have it easy to get to.
* Heater makes quick work of heating the trailer.
* Sleeps 4 comfortably for a small size.
* Lots of lighting and is very bright day or night which I like a lot, although will be converting the entire trailer inside and out to LED..
* Dinette seats 3 and is comfortable much nicer than many others I looked at.
Things I DO NOT Like so far...
* Shower has NO means to keep water in the tub I will be correcting this very soon with aluminum Angle...
* Location of the thermostat and slide out switches are somewhat odd and inconvenient for setting up without having to go into the trailer.
* TV mount is a bit flimsy and I wonder how it will hold up with travel.
*Dinette Table is very flimsy and has a cheap lacking quality feel, I will be making a new one that is nicer and more solid.
SO far I am happy with my purchase but for the price expected better quality.

Always frustrating when a new purchase isn't awesome - but hopefully you can work through the small bugs. The water leak is a concern tho - and from all the little things can add up to major disappointment. I'm in Vancouver, so I know how much rain you get too!
I, too will be adding an angle to my shower - good idea. I like the LED conversion but all those bulbs add up to a few hundered dollars of bulbs.
See you down the road, i use the state parks down there alot.

much agreed actually I make my own conversion LED kits that cost much much less and are completly water and vibration resistant rather than the crappy conversion bulbs that fail and are expensive :-)

We have a Lance 2185. We had a couple minor issues at the start, but has been great since then. Did you buy from Clearview? Have you spoken to them about your issues? I'm surprised you haven't been able to reach someone at Lance. I've called them several times and have always gotten right through, and they were great to deal with.
Also, you may want to take at look at the Lance Owners Forum. It's a great place to get help and ideas from others with the same TT.
Good luck!

I was really hoping to get a look at one of these. I've been interested in them for over 6 months, but no one has one in the midwest. Seems that they're selling well and you guys out in the pac nw are getting them all.
But, as the trailer costs significantly more than others its size, it gives me some food for thought. For the price, I expect a 'cadillac' experience.
Oh well, will probably not bother holding out and get something made in the midwest.

Well sadly today in my excitment to get the trailer further set up and loaded for my trips I ended up finding more issues and lacking of quality control that made me pretty unhappy overall because they are things I should not see in a new trailer if anyone actually QC'ed it...
* Kitchen Sinc drain leaking - Did not realize the new contents of my cabinet were soaking wet so pulled that all apart and tightened up everything so far so good.
* Hot water heater leaking - again loose connection.
* More on the slideout - I found that the screws holding the black rubber strip were never actually installed just started into the hole so at least now I know why I was getting inconsistant closure on the slideout!
* I decided I did not like the piss poor wiring that was routed up front near the hitch so I took it all apart and installed it into split loom and took some of the tention that was on the main battery wiring going into the frame, turns out I am glad I did as the Battery + line was hard bent just after the frame cross member and was rubbing pretty hard against the lip of the side rail so now that is all fixed.
* while taking the time to clean all of the wiring up I decided the propane lines should be in split loom as well for some UV protection well glad I did because the self tapping screw that holds the battery tray down to the frame was rubbing up against the propane hose why you ask because they decided the hose was too long and looped it up inside of the frame channel so it was under tention against the screw!!! Really guys?
*I washed the trailer last night and noticed the air condition is not sitting flat on the roof, although not sure if this is normal or not so can't say if its a problem yet???
* while under the trailer fixing my leaking water tank drain I notice I DO NOT HAVE A SPARE TIRE! UGGGGGGGG
So as the list continues to grow I am starting to feel like the poster above that this had been a cadelac experience, one poorly quality controlled assembly that looks good but requires endless work in order to not fall apart! oh and I think my trailer had the slideout awning but was removed!
Thanks for letting me gripe I just need to vent...

So you bought a used 1575? I just sold mine, had it little over 6 months, did not have any of your problems, maybe these were why the prior owner sold?
Mine was #6th made, had one issue with slide motor but that was fixed, sold it because of the step up into slide, too awkward. Take a hint, remove the sliding door to bath and install a hanging curtain on tension rod. I did find the propane/screw issue and fixed that when I installed solar. My spare was underneath the storage.
