They are 50 and 30 amp sites. Which are directly on the river, it is $75.00 per night.
Trout fishing is one of our specialties. We do privately stock our waters to have premium trophy trout. If he would like to fish there is a $50 rod fee for all day of fishing or a $25 rod fee for 4 hours (half day of fishing) -this fee is simply for us to keep the fish stocked and maintained- we also ask to only use artificial bait and practice catch and release
Wow.. 75 buck a night, $50 a rod and catch and release.. I was wondering when they stock the stream how do they keep there fish in front of their camp grounds. How do they know which one are theirs.. I wish them all the best but here in Indiana you can walk ANY streams or boat on any river as long you don't touch the bank you are not trespassing. I think they are way over price but I wish them the best.

yes Art I thougth that also. fishing in that river should be free. stock or no stock. $50 rod fee is way out of my league and I wouldn't pay anyone to fish their campground. just don't have that in me to pay that charge

I may be in that area a week from Saturday for a visit to to an native American & Spanish archeological site that I'm involved with (http://exploringjoara.org/, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joara). It's also out NC 181 north of Morganton.
Time & weather permitting, I'll go on up and check it out afterwards.

We road that dirt road all they way to Blowing Rock NC. Nice ride out in the middle of nowhere. Rode by the "campground" From I remember they would have had to do a lot of work to it. Still not seeing paying $75 a night.
Some of the roads that branch off of Brown Mnt rd I seen several campers pulled off on spots. Granted it was off on those "fire roads" and out in the bondock. I would do that before $75.
I've done so much with so little for so long, I'm now qualified to do anything with nothing.

We also have monthly and yearly river front sites which are available for a 8-12 month lease. The 8 month lease is $1050 per month and the 12 month lease is $700 per month.
Clever---8 months for $8400 or 12 months for $8400.
Yep, actually drove to all of these places---in the last eight years. Missed Rhode Island and New Jersey.

Anyone know of similar river front sites elsewhere around Asheville? Something at a more reasonable price?

Looks like a nice location, but $75.00 a night Plus a $50.00 fee per person to fish? That is just plain over the top. On top of that, wifi only near the office and no cell service. Sorry, I won't be visiting anytime soon.
