Is that photo from Disco Chicken a burned spot from a LED light? The excess heat is just what I was trying to get away from.

If you're worried about heat or other issues, get the one's from Command Elec. I use theirs in my three living room ceiling fixtures (6 LED panels - 510 lumens each) with no problems. If you like I can take temperature readings.

Does anyone know which ebay china LED Boards are causing the burn out like shown in the previous photos on here...
I originally started using the Command Elwectronics PN 170-111 510 lumen warm white boards and really liked the results until I went camping off the power grid and started getting HDTV interference when using my OTA Batwing antenna. Then i also noticed my Ham Radio, Police scanners, and Noah WX Alert Radios where also picking this RFI signal coming from the Command Electronic boards.
This is when I finally decided to get the ebay china 36-1210 SMD boards which worked just great for me. They do not incorporate the regulator chips thats causes RFI signals and this is what I am using today. They get warm too touch but do not get hot for me....
Those photos sent are real scary to me... Sure would like to know what PN LED Boards was used that burned up like that...
My ebay china boards that cost $4.99 each are still performing great after two years of service now. I only have one board that three LED in a roll that is off. When it a few more rolls quit working I plan on just replacing the $4.99 board with a new one...
Something is amiss here with those china boards that are burning up on some folks... Why are some burning up and other are not. Must be a different PN being used. Would really like to know what the part number is...
The other brand of LED I used here for awhile was the LETRAILER ROUND LEDs PN 921-380 which also exhibits RFI signals..
My Posts are IMHO based on my experiences - PM me

FWIW those pictures are from a thread started by DiscoChicken regarding warranty claim on a new truck camper. Those fixtures were overheated with the OEM supplied lamps. I wouldn't make any assumptions without verification from DiscoChicken.
Here is the thread;

My Command Elecs panels gives me some RFI on AM radio channels. No issues with TV, OTA or sat. My LEDTrailerlights bulbs give me NO problems at all.

Mine from superbrightleds.com run warm but far less heat than the incandescent.
I don't think it would burn my hand let alone damage the fixture or adjacent materials.
http://www.superbrightleds.com/T10.htm
I use T10-PCB-CWHP9 (bright white, 120 lumens, 190 milliamp) in the main areas and the T10-PCB-WWHP9 (warm white, 92 lumens, 190 milliamp) in the bedroom and bunk areas.
These are less light and lower current draw. They are plenty bright for us. I might turn on an extra fixture when needed but the lower draw is also important to me.

At $22 they probably are not the cheepest either. Have had ZERO issues in about three years. They just work.

It doesn't look like LEDs would do that. I'm guessing if they got hot, they would sooner melt the solder and the substrate they are attached to first before cooking the fixture.

Links?
Perhaps a few years ago, but I dont hear much of that anymore, personally.
Anyone else?
Not every RVer has $500 to drop down on LEDs. Nowadays 50 bucks will get you pretty far in the way of power savings.
