We bought one last year and really like it. We want something a little bigger now (I have 3 kids). It gets a little cramped in the morning with 5 people moving around in there, but the trailer is solid and no fuss.

A shuffle around queen bed sounds a heck of a lot better than the crawl over double we currently have! Looking around I see plenty of used ones in Texas for around 8-9k and that's right in my price range. Thanks for all he info all. Sounds like a good and solid trailer. I do love our small jayco sport but were ready to have a bit more space and an extra bed for our sons friends or for grandma to join us!

Except of course when they want 6 grand more for a comparable unit lol I loved my Jayco and yes I had troubles with it but they got resolved. I'd be in another right now if not for that pesky 6g's

We had this floorplan it worked great when it was the three of us, but when DS was born it became cramped. Had to upgrade to slides as it was too tight. Still remember DS trying to get out of the bathroom while DD trying to brush teeth. Too much manuvering. We liked the location of the TV as DH and I could lay in bed and watch while the kids were on the sofa.
Never had any real issues with the trailer just small stuff. Loved the size of the bunks and so did the kids.

It is just the wife and I in our 264BH but we had her parents come out and stay the night on memorial day, and we have had friends that are in no shape to drive spend the night. Size wise it was tight when we all went to bed but once in bed all was well. I think you will be very happy with the size.

My original TT, a 1995 Jayco 264 Bunkhose is still in the family and has been 100% trouble free. A few totally minor quirks and regular maintenance. The only way I could get back what I paid for it was to sell it to my son!!!! I have upgraded several times. I would not hesitate to buy any Jayco product. Others experience may be different!

GreenBananas wrote: My husband and I bought a 2012 26 BH this spring and we have taken it on a few short local trips. I think it is safe to say that we all love it, we have three girls ages 8, 6 and 1. We have enough room to set up a pack-n-play (a portable crib) where the dinette is, that our one year old sleeps in. It works very well for us. We bought a much bigger TT than what I was originally considering, mostly due to the suggestions by folks on this forum. I was concerned that we would end up never using it, find that we did not enjoy it, or that it was more trouble than it was enjoyable, so I wanted to start out small. I am SUPER glad that we did not start out as small as I was originally thinking. I have to say that I already wish we had bought the same floor plan but with the slide out, just to give us that little bit of extra room.
I would suggest the bigger 15,000 BTU AC, it works very well at keeping us nice and cool. So far I think my only complaint is that I do not like shuffling myself around the queen size bed. Everything else so far has been great! We are getting ready to take our first "big" trip in the next few weeks. I think it would be plenty of room for the three of you. Good luck in finding a good used one.

We just purchased ours a few months back and LOVE it. We have 3 small girls 4, 2, and baby. The girls love the bunks. We like sending them in the back to play.
I wish the walkway in the master were bigger but we survive the shuffle. I do concede that a slide would be more comfy but we don't have the truck to pull the extra weight or the cash to pay for the upgrade.
I believe we have the 13BTU AC and seems to work well for us.
Fantastic 1st trailer for us and yes, we love Jayco!

We have a 2004 27BH and it has been a great trailer. We have slept as many as 6 and will soon leave for Gulf Shore with 5. It does get cramped at times, but I prefer sitting under the awning anyway. Good luck with whatever you decide.

My wife and I love our 2012 26bh! We've been on 3 local weekend trips with just the two of us, and just got back from a week long trip to Gulf Shores with our friends and their 9yo with no problems. We couldn't be happier.
