Looks like most of the National Forests in the Colorado Mountains are going to stage 2 alert which means no fires in metal fire rings. This is better that stage 3 where no vehicles are allowed though. You can find out what stage by going to this page and selecting the National Forest you are going to. Just an update for you guys. We now have a fire west of Colorado SPrings, in the Waldo Canyon area. At approximately 1000 acres; started around noon. Huge areas of Colorado Springs are on alert for evacuation, including me. Several areas are on Mandantory evacuation. We are heading to get our trailer, have it here and ready. Many areas are closing campgrounds, etc. Check before you come and take care
