I need to help a friend align his new dish for dishnet HD on the eastern arc 3 satellites. Any tricks or tips would be appreciated. Can I use a standard signal strength meter and if so, how do you know which sat you are on?

Get a good tripod and meter.

If it only needs to be done once, contact a local installer.

But I and others were thinking this was for an RV, and if so, would be recurring. And that would be 'bad' as it's not easy, and you have no experience doing it. As best as I can tell they are all the same band (KU?). It has an output for each sat. Will a standard receiver powered inline meter work?

I would think that if you had a dish for the Eastern Arch Satellite, it should not be hard to set up the dish for that system.
