One pork loin.
20-32 oz of favorite non-diet cola such as Dr. Pepper, CocaCola, etc.

Heat cast iron dutch oven to searing heat and sear the loin on all sides. Add the cola. Reduce heat by removing coals or repositioning the d.o. to a cooler position so that it still simmers. Simmer until tender 2 - 3 hours more or less according to the pork loin poundage or the outside temps.

Apple juice works well instead of cola too.

First law of science: don't spit into the wind.
Keep on rollin'!

Remember: do not use diet colas. It has to be full on sugar cola. The artificial sweeteners make it taste terrible (grabbed the wrong cola one time and found that out the hard way).

I cook spare ribs the same way, only I use a can of Root Beer. After they cool, I toss them on the grill and baste with Barbeque sauce for long enough to heat through. I just don't like the taste of burned on BBQ sauce.

Retired and visiting as much of this beautiful country as I can.

Same here on the burnt sauce. Root beer is a good one and is one of my faves. Wife likes Dr. Pepper best. We're going to try ginger ale next. We experiment with the different sodas. Apple juice and apple cider is good. All of these are cheaper than wine or beer. Still like beer can roast chicken though you can use a can of soda for that too.
