I'm considering buying this but I want to get as much info before I make the drive. Does anyone know total length with hitch? dry and gross weights? I've searched but have found several weights. Also if anyone has one do you recommend sway bars. My husband doesn't camp so I need to be comfortable pulling it. We have a Toyota Tundra

you don't know the model number? if there's a 23 in the model number, doesn't mean it's 23' long.
the only 2 2004 Surveyors, close to 23', with a slideout, are the 233T(nearly 25' long) and the 235RS rear bed slide(24'6" long).
of the two, only the 233T is a hybrid. the 235RS doesn't have any canvas bunk ends.
here's a link to the specs and floorplans:
2004 Surveyor
Dan- Firefighter , Shawn- Musician/Entrepreneur , Zoe- Faithful Golden Retriever , 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche LS, 2007 Rockwood Roo 23SS w/Equalizer and Prodigy, and 5 Mtn. bikes and 2 Road bikes

We have had this camper (the hybrid) for 5yrs now. I dont know the dry weight or gross vehicle weight off the top of my head. To give you an idea though, we first used a 2002 GMC Envoy XL with the tow package to pull it. That vehicle did alright but not great, definetely gave it a work out. We now have a 2002 Chevy Suburban 1500 we pull it with and it does great, no issues! We do use a weight distribution hitch. We upgraded to this from a pop up and have thoroughly enjoyed it. All in all this has been a good camper for us. Just wish we used it more!

aqsking $8500 and its inexcellent condition. Where I'm from anything light weight goes for around that price for the 2004's. I really wanted a super slideout but they run $10,000 for the same yr give or take. I'm afraid to make the decision to buy as I had a pop up for years and the mice got in every yr and chewed the canvas. Could never figure out how because everything was sealed.
