Is there a way to do an aftermarket install of an iPod port directly to the motorhome's speakers?

Or would it be easier to carry a portable speaker system that seats the iPod?

I pulled the dash around my Magandyne, found the spare Aux/RCA jacks and ran a 3.5mm (headphone) to RCA cable. This allows me to plug in any device with headphone jack, including my iPod or iPhone and still be able to charge it.
