Yes there are some very enjoyable campgrounds in Baja. Here are some sites to help you. On the first site if you move your cursor over the pic of Baja and click, it will take you to a close up of the campgrounds in the local area. Move a little and click another location will come up.

Do a search of this forum for Baja & a search of Google and you will find a ton of info.

As far as campgrounds in Mexico - for the most part they are not like campgrounds in the US - low water pressure - low voltage - low amps and so on. But most of us who travel in Mexico do not worry about stuff like that. The best advice I can give is to go online and search for the Church and Church book about Camping in Mexico - their website is Rolling Homes Publishing (rollinghomes.com) - if you can't find it I will try to post a link. Another is Bill & Dot Bells ontheroadin.com I think. There are lots of tips and lots of info about campgrounds in Mexico. As far as the Baja - it is considered safe except for the Tijuana area as far as I know. But the road for the most part is very narrow and there a lot of curves so it can mean getting tired with not a lot of miles per day. We take our time in Mexico and never push for distance. We also never consider driving at night do to road conditions - cows - horses - whatever. I believe the Churches may have a Baja specific book but it may be out of date and the newer book for all of Mexico may be a better bet. They also have lots of updates to the book on their website. Any Mexico RVer will tell you this book is a great investment.

there is a park going in to La Paz called Maranatha. not crowded, 30 amp. poor free wifi, clean pool and showers and a nice coffe shop on the highway up front with good wifi. nice Christian folks run the place. they have church youth groups there for retreats on some weekends. 300 pesos a night .. don't know the weekly rate
