Does anyone know what brand/model of converter was installed on this trailer? I have a buddy that owns one and it keeps shocking him when he contacts the trailer and ground. Suspect converter is shorting maybe??

THanks
Rob

Rob you can google "hot skin rv" and find a lot about this type of problem and that same term "hot skin" here on RV.net will turn up a number of helpful posts. However don't leave the RV part out if you google it

Good luck Rob, should have added that as old as the KIT is you'll be hard pressed to find anyone with that unit that can tell you what's installed. Friend had a similar issue but I can't recall what the solution was, I do have an off to him to remind me how he solved it though.

I found the converter info. Old Magnetec. He has plenty of troubleshooting to keep him busy for now. Thanks again.

Magnetek..thats what is installed in my Kit. I would suggest that your friend check out all the connections between the converter and the panel as well as checking the ground connection underneath the TT where it bonds to the frame. Had this happen to mine and it ended up being a poor ground.
