You probably have to be a geezer to know the answer. When the Edsel came out for the 1958 model year, what did teenagers and young adults call it?

I thought I knew everything...but that has me stumped. Is it something to do with the horse collar grille ?

The grill always looked like a toilet seat to me. I wasn't quite a teenager yet, but I seem to remember that it had a rectangular steering wheel and push buttons instead of a gear shift?

Retired and visiting as much of this beautiful country as I can.

The Edsel grill was sometimes referred to as looking like someone "sucking a lemon".

It had several nicknames when and where I was in high school. None of them were complimentary!

Could have been called an automobile if it wasn't so ugly!

I was a teenager when Edsels came out and I don't remember any nicknames--for one reason--there weren't enough sold in the small town I grew up with to get a whole lot of experience with them. I can remember one being around--a yucky green thing that absolutely no one, including the owner, liked.
