I have a 2002 Chevy 2500HD and I am looking to replace the side mirrors with extendable power mirrors for towing. Has anyone done this? If so is there a brand that is recommended?

I am hesitant to just purcahse of the internet without recommendations, since I did this to replace mirrors on another vehicle and they ended up being junk.

I would like something that is well made, but not outrageously expensive.

I have a '01 Dodge dually. It had manual towing mirrors when I bought it since Dodge didn't offer power towing mirrors until '02.

I bought a set of aftermarket power towing mirrors from www.am-autoparts.com . They work great and jiggle no more than the originals.

They have a set for your Chevy here: Chevy Towing Mirrors .

Those are not power extending. 2002 may or may not have all the function possible work. 2003 to 2007 classic all the possible functions can be made to work

That's a great price fj12. I put on ttt mirrors but they are twice that price and yes you have to manually extend them, but they are power adjustable and have heated mirrors.

Just a quick question for fj12 after putting the mirrors on and with them fully extended can you see down the sides of your trailer? I have a GMC Dually and put on a set of the clamp on mirrors from camping world. No complaint except I can't see down the sides of trailer, My camper is a Fuzion toyhauler wide body. Don't want to buy mirrors and still not see sides. Thanks George

If you mean can I see the whole side of my Fuzion, no. I can see what is back there beside me, but not the full length of my 5er.

My thought would be that it would take a really wide set of mirrors for that. I could see down the length of my Big Sky but the Fuzion is too wide.

All of these mirrors are lacking extension for 102" trailers. Haven't found a folding/extending mirror that is spec'ed for 102".

Velvac has some ridgid arm mirrors that are spec'd for 102" but for RV use these would suck when not towing.

I get by with the factory non-power extendable camper mirrors on my 06 pulling a 102" wide Rage'n 5er. Leveling the mirrors helped the viewing angle quite a bit but another 1" of extension would be the cats meow!

I put a set of the cheap Ebay OEM knockoffs (made by CoolView) on my 01 2500HD a few years back and would not recommend them to anyone. Above 60MPH they vibrate like crazy.
