Hi we are traveling across the country in a few weeks and I know my daughter will be watching tv while we are going down the road. We have a class C and the tv is over my head in the bunk and it is so loud. We are thinking of getting some type of wireless earphones that she could wear to watch her movies. The biggest problem now is that the tv has to be so loud for her to hear it, but it is very loud in the cab area. Any help would be appreciated with what to buy.

Places like best buy have several models you might be able to use. Be sure your TV has a head phone jack or some other sort of sound out you can connect them to.

Is the TV hooked up to a DVD player or media center device? If so, adding headphone should be simple.
Here's one I found on amazon for 20 bucks that has headphone jack & RCA inputs.

First step is find out what kind of audio output tv has and then find out if vol. controls audio output. Ie speakers may need to still be on for headset to work. If it has digital audio output there is good chance it will be independent allowing headset to work even with tv muted. But you will need a digital audio converter and depending on headset you might need and ipod type amplifier to boost vol. enough to be useful. We have four new tv's from 19 to 60 inch and none of them will operate headset with speakers off

If the TV has a headphone jack, then there is a very, very good chance that plugging into the jack will cancel out the speakers. That is the purpose of using private headphones in the first place.
If it does not have a headphone jack, then you might have to read the owners manuals for hookup options. Newer TV's have numerous options. Older TV's, not so many. Really old TV's, no options.

If it has a headphone jack then one can get a wireless headphone system. They come in either RF (radio frequency) or infrared. The difference is that with RF one can go to another room - out of line of sight.
Search for wireless headphones for TV on your search engine of choice.
I have used wireless headphones for years. I like the RF so I can listen even out of the room.

Make sure to get rechargeable headsets. battery cost will cover the slightly higher cost quickly.
You will love the improved sound output which is stereo in the wireless hedsets. Greatly better than regular tv audio and may even be better than the speakers in your rv sound system.

Not at all what you asked for - but my wife and I have generally go with sound either muted or very quiet and we just turn on closed captions. Might be an option in case your TV doesn't support the headphones AND your daughter is old enough to read quickly enough. My 8 year old is a great reader, but not ready for watching TV w/ just CC.

I bought a little bluetooth transmitter on Amazon that plugs into the headphone jack on the TV. Now I can use any bluetooth headphone that I like for private listening.
