First post here. I'm having issues with our new to us 2001 Jayco Eagle 286s Motorhome with 22k miles. The onan 4000 only has 7.3 hours. There is zero power coming into the genset from the chassis. The main factory 12v positive wire that goes to the genset starter solenoid tests and shows ground. If I disconnect it from the solenoid and connect direct to the house battery it cranks fine with the genset switch. I have tested all of the cables on the chassis and house batteries to make sure they are correctly connected. What am I missing? The origional owner passed away so I bought it this way. Last ditch effort here before I spend money at the dealer. I have a pretty good mechanical background and have test equipment. I just don't know where the wire goes after it dives into the subflooring. Thanks!

Most generators on MH'ss start from the "House" battery, not the chassis battery
So I would start there. Is there a battery disconnect switch and is it ON? Most manufactures put the dissconnects near the entry door, so I would start there, find the switch and then check the voltage in the house battery, Maybe the previous owner changed the wire from the house battery to the chassis battery. Maybe other jaco owners will chime in. And welcome to the forum

You might look at the Jayco Owners Forum on the web and see if other Jayco drivers have had similar issues. This might be a problem particular to Jayco RVs. I drive a Forest River myself and find that the FR forum invaluable for issues related to FR problems. Good Luck.
