Good Mornin... just returned yesterday afternoon from a 4 day fantastic outing @ one of our favorite FSCG's even though a NO ban was in effect, still was fantastic. I know that FS campgrounds are run by private concessionaires but I'm curious as to the prices of similar campsites in other FSCG's in other regions of the country. The campground is in the San Juan National Forest (SW Colo) & has a nice size fishing lake.

All prices are for 1 nights stay
Standard site ...fits 1 RV up to 40ish ft. + a TV
Double site ... can fit 2 RV's up to 40ish ft + TV's
Sites include a fire ring & grate, a picnic table & nice flat area for a tent + squirrels & chipmunks.

Standard site non-electric $19.00
Standard site electric $24.00
Standard site non-electric lakeside $24.00
Standard site electric lakeside $29.00
Double site non-electric $38.00
Double site electric $48.00
Double site electric lakeside $58.00

Just want to know how these prices compare with other Forest Service Campgrounds.

Thanks
Milo

These are higher then a kite!
Most are less then $10. Majority have no hook ups.
Most do allow discount for concessionaire operated facilities.

That runs about the same as for state parks with the exception that there's no extra charge for lakeside camping. I wasn't sure what FSCG was until you wrote "Forest Service". Sometimes I think we get carried away with using initials and I include myself as guilty of that too.

No services at any FS campgrounds I've ever stayed at. Cost runs from $6 to $15 per night (depending on location)

When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.
