We are relatively new to camping, and I have yet to find a website that really "ranks" campgrounds. We are looking for one in SC, northern/central ga, and northern/western fl. I am wanting one with tons of activities for the kids to do both at the camp ground (water slides, parks ect) and away from campground. Please let me know any suggestions you can think of.
We will be camping in our travel trailer if that makes any difference.

Is Fort Wilderness in Disney World too far? It is considered by many to be one of the top campgrounds in the country.
Have you looked at RVParkreviews? I find that site to be very good at ranking / rating campgrounds.

All the big commercial campgrounds (Myrtle Beach Travel Park, Ocean Lakes, Pirateland, Lakewood) have LOTS of planned activities for kids, game rooms and of course pools. Not sure if they all have lazy rivers or not. MBTP does, and I think Ocean Lakes?

That was the original plan, but I procrastinated to long and it's booked. We really want to go there though.

You're looking for something for this summer? If so, you may have a very hard time getting anything at Myrtle Beach. Unless you get really lucky and call right after someone cancels.

Looking for next week 5-7th. I'm not really set on the beach, we will have been at the beach 1-4th but it does appear that to get what I'm looking for in pools and what not its going to be a beach location. We generally go to the mountains of nc and va but since, we will already be in SC and then have to go to Atlanta the 7th was trying to just stay south.

Stone Mountain Park in Atlanta, campground has a pool, park has trails, lake, and activities for kids. Short drive into downtown, Aquarium, misc other tourist’s activities.
This site, does not rank, does have feedback from users.
