HELP! Does anyone know how to work with the Dish people? No one there seems to know about setting up an account for fulltimers without a permanent address?
Thanks!

If you are FT, you still have an address. Where are you domiciled? Or use the address you have mail sent to. Dealing with customer service will drive you nuts. The less you offer, the easier it will be. Just give them a billing address. Truly, they won't care. They just want to be paid.

Initially, we set up Dish.net. We used the RVPark address for both billing and service. Then we changed the billing to our mail forwarder and the service address to our daughter's to keep mail from arriving at the RVPark after we had left.
With DirecTV, it's pretty much the same process. These addresses can be changed after you get set up. With DirecTV, we have an RV waiver and get NY/LA channels to watch networks.

With DirecTV, we have our billing address (which is our SD mailing address) and our service address (where the receiver will be located). Each time we move (usually monthly through the summer), we update our service address and we receive the 'real' local networks (very helpful during severe weather situations) while we're on the phone.

I found that, by calling the local Dish installer (where ever you are), he'll set you up. He doesn't care if the receiver is going in a RV, sticks & bricks or a tree house. He'll just use the address your credit cards have (a simpler way of saying your domicile address). Bottom line... if he doesn't get it done, he doesn't get paid so he has an interest in just doing what works. Also, that way, you don't have to mess with the Dish customer service people.
Edit added: It also makes sense to go "paperless" and have your account on "autopay" directly by your credit card. The less interaction you have with Dish corporate, the better.. um... in my experience, anyway.

here are a couple of moew things:
1. you have to have a billing address....wherever you get your mail.
2. then, as you move around, IF, you have local stations, you just call dish and tell them the address of where you are at AND not to change the billing address.
this will get you the local stations on DISH for that area. (if you don't want local channels through dish then you don't call and you will get local channels off your antenna and not dish) this may save you a few dollars a month.
However, if you just want the National channels out of New York, abc, nbc, fox, cbs, there is a process to get this. you then don't have to call dish about changing to local channels in the area you are in. need to renew this every 6 months.

Use the address that the credit card is attached to to set up account.
Then give location of RV for set up.
That is what we did and that was almost 2 years ago.
Since then DISH has an RV department. Ask for that department or research it online.
Remember if you can read a compass you can set up your DISH, now matter where you are the 3 satellites are in the same orbit, 22,500 miles above the equator.
Hope this helps.
Never RV with anyone crazier than you!!

Dish Network RV section number is 888-309-0370. They're very helpful and understand what it is you're asking to do.
