A 45' motorcoach with 4 slides. Love the space and a super large bath. We are always traveling someplace.

I would have assignments that lasted typically 13 weeks. Shortest would be 6 weeks. I was thinking of an F150 as I would use it for driving to and from my work and for when I am on call (I would do hospital work requiring a 30 min call in to clock in) and would like the better gas milage that F150 vs F250/Dodge2500 would give me. I also would not be buying new, for either FW or TV. I know this limits my chioces to what is out on the used market and I was looking for some brands that were reliable maintanance wise in what I needed. I have gotten several choices from the posts here and will work on those. I also am considering a Class C and would tow my Honda behind.

The choice of an F-150 will severely limit your towing capacity and therefore choices of trailer. If you already have a Honda that you can tow, go for a class A MH where at least you get some living space out of the driver compartment.

When I look at 2008 Ford Towing Guide (page 14), it says 11,000 lbs with "proper equipment" (I think this is what they call XL-XLT option). Ok, nobody pulls full limit, so take 30% off, and this is with no cargo in the truck, so take another 1,000 lbs off. This leaves 6,000 lbs. This is roughly 24ft-26ft TT with all the factory-added options like A/C, awning etc, and your "stuff". Can be enough for some people, but you decide for yourself.

If you buy used TV, don't believe anything and check the sticker on the door frame where it shows towing capacity, because this varies a lot.

We started out full timing in our 2006 Keystone Cougar. Now, we are living full time in a 2003 Allegro Bus. The Allegro Bus is a far better rig to be full timing in, but the 5th wheel worked well too!

Yes, this is what many people "discover" - they can live in 300 sq.ft. For a single person, even with dog(s), this number be cut almost in half, to 160-180 sq.ft. Sounds tiny, but this is bigger than some studios that I lived in. 180 sq.ft is a 24ft or 26ft travel trailer or 5-er.
