I get the same thing on my USBank. I refuse to be bothered by it. Lifes too short.

The initial banking session was generated by you and your browser. The timeout is occurring at the bank to prohibit someone from getting onto your PC (in the event you walk away from it) and accessing your information.

With IE 9 you can delete your cookies and history under Tools/Delete Browser History (cookies are included if checked).

With Firefox you select Tools/Clear Recent History - cookies are included if checked.

Thanks. Yeah, me too. I love tech support whose only answer is "it's your fault."

They decided in their last 'upgrade' to deny saving of our login ID. Another nice feature.

This bank (or any bank) has never required me to 'properly' log out.

What's even more annoying is that nag screen telling me it automatically ends my session after X minutes. If it's ending my session (logging me out) then why is it forcing me to log out? This is using Chrome.

But wait.. there's more! This next problem is using IE9. It won't remember me. I get the above screen EVEN if I log out properly.

The second problem is what leads me to believe their website is not working properly, but of course no one knows anything.

I have the same issue. I have to key in my security question answer every time I log in. I emailed US Bank and they gave me the same answer regarding cookies. We emailed back and forth for a while until I gave up. It used to worked perfectly until I upgraded to IE9.

I've not had that problem, and I use the BofA web site every month to make our mortgage and credit card payments. I just did it last night, in fact, and received no such message unless I'm actively using the site and let it go idle for more than their allowed time.

I've got two different systems as well... Windows XP on the desktop PC running Firefox (9 I think?) and Windows 7 running FF or IE. Neither one ever has an issue with that site (unless I let it time out like I said before).

"Live with it" is the best answer they've come up with. So I will.

Communication with a large corporation usually ends up like this: "We won't admit to anything, but we are really good at apologizing for your trouble."
