Need so help in deciding what kind of RV to buy. Never had one before. Looking at spending several weeks at a time traveling in one. Older female with no prior experience. Have looked at both Class A and C but can't decide.
A retired female friend of ours has a Roadtrek, class B, that she travels in to and from Arizona every winter for snowbirding. Couldn't hurt to check them out. They drive almost like a car yet have everything inside that a person would need.

If you're having a difficult time deciding between the two, I'd suggest you rent one for a week. Try a couple of different campgrounds, a commercial park and a government campground such as a State Park or C.O.E. park. That will give you an idea of the type of camping, or facilities, you'll enjoy. At the same time, the RV you have rented and have lived in for a week will help you define more closely the RV you may wish to purchase. That experience should set you on a path to making intelligent decisions regarding what will work best for you.
Unless you're the rugged outdoor type I'd stick to private campgrounds such as KOA or Good Sam. You'll learn how to park and level, hook up your water, sewer hose, electric, etc. Full hookup mean your site will have water, electricity and a place to put your sewer hose. Many have cable TV, depending on locale. Plus, there's usually a small store where you can pick up overpriced parts you might need or something to eat.
There's a whole lot to learn, but most of it is pretty simple. And you'll have to look hard to find a fellow camper who isn't willing to help you out. Don't be afraid to ask. And utilize forums like this.
If I were alone and looking for a motor home, I'd think hard about a Class C. You can get enough size to last for several days, and most are pulled by Fords or Dodges, so places for repairs and parts are everywhere. And they're not too big, in case you have only driven cars.
Just a few thoughts for you. Get something and get going. RVing is a lot of fun.

I love our larger MH, but if I were alone, I would seriously consider getting a larger C. That would be large enough for me and the dogs and the supplies needed. A small C would be too confining for me, tho. However, one lady in our club fulltmes in a small pickup with just the cover type shelter, not even a camper, actually, and she is just fine with that. As said, try out some to see what suits you. If you are outgoing enough, you can even visit a campground and talk with owners of the type rig you think you might like. They can tell you the pros & cons and most will even invite you to see theirs inside which might help you even more. Most Rvers love to show off their rig after they have talked to you a bit.
don,t forget theres some single,s groups out there lot of clubs for single campers. ours a leisure travel van class C is one that people are always asking about .99% campers will be more than happy to show you around.
