Who's heading out or I guess already there for the 4th? Our vacation doesn't start until July 14th, then we're heading to Rifle River State Recreation in Michigan. I'll spend the 4th, cleaning the camper and getting things ready to go then.

I am heading out to the mountains of Virginia for three days with my family. We will be boondocking in a field at my family reunion.

I don't get to camp as often as I'd like since I'm self employed. I'm going out Tue after work and staying till Sun. This basically will be the longest I get to camp this season. What stinks is last week we had a heat wave move through with temps close to 100 predicted as far as the forecast goes with heat indexes in the 110's so I'm not sure how enjoyable it will be.

We are heading out first thing in the morning and coming back on Wed. evening. We have to submit our vacation requests almost a year in advance, so with trying to plan out my on call weeks and projects, it's hard to accurately plan for some holidays. Oh well, I guess 2 days is better than none....

I'm actually taking the week after the fourth off. This will be our longest trip so far.

Heading out in the morning for a 30 mile trip to a COE campground. It is going to be a little warm at first, just want to get there, and get the air going inside. Hope everyone has a good 4th of July, be safe.

Unfortunately with the 4th being on a Wednesday, and the fact that my significant other started a new job recently and can't take time off, we were only able to camp for the weekend. We went Friday midday just got back a little while ago. It was hot during the day, but both nights major storms blew in and I had to put up awning, and pack everything inside. Then put it all back again in the morning.
I hate it when the 4th doesn't land on a Monday or Friday.

4th on the Oregon coast, hard to beat. Fireworks over the ocean and parades along HWY 101.
Mid to upper 60s also a bonus!
Enjoy,

I was bummed because we had to cancel our July 4th week campout a few weeks ago. But after being in the 100s all this week, with heat indexes at 112 I'm kinda glad we're not going. We went up to the lake today to a day use park, just to have a picnic and swim a little. It was a blistering 103. The air is so hot & humid you almost can't breathe. We stayed about 3 hours, until we wilted. Even the water was hot.

2-6 July on Arkansas River. Just Gina and I till 4th, then BBQ with kids coming stopping by, and finally fireworks on the river. Looking forward to it despite the heat.
