The usual method it to "flip the axles". That is to put the axle under the spring rather than on top. You don't actually turn the axle over as it has an arch that has to be up and this requires new spring perches on top.

You may have to go to a "blacksmith" or Truck Trailer/Chassis shop to have your hangers modified, adjusted and re-welded.

North Trail RV Repair for example is in South Florida.
And this example HERE!

Springs already on top of axles. My truck is too high. Trailer on too much of an angle. Trailer needs to be raised.

Two real ways to do it. First, is to cut off the spring hangers and have new, HEAVY, longer hangers welded to the frame. Adding cross-braces is virtually a requirement when doing this. The second way would be to add an entire sub-frame below the main frame, to raise it as far as needed. There are a number of threads here, some with pictures, of people who have done this.

Yep, building a sub frame from square or rectangular thick wall tube steel of whatever height is necessary to gain the desired height clearance is the best method to lift a trailer. In his case, it sounds like a simple frame made of 2x2x1/4 square tube with a cross member at each spring hanger location would do the trick just fine.

I posted this back in August of last year after we lifted my buddy's toyhauler and a 5er.

"There are several campers around that have been lifted. My camping buddy has a toyhauler with a sidewinder hitch that was way too close to the bed of truck. He actually hit it on our trip before last. We raised the hitch but it pulled slightly nose high. His springs are 1 5/8" wide. We found a local welding service that had 1 1/2" square solid steel stock. We had them cut 4 pieces 4" long(one to sit atop each axle). We then had the stock drilled for and inserted pins for the pad and a holes drilled to accept the spring bolt. Ordered new(longer and stronger) u-bolts from www.eatonsprings.com for his 3" axles. Went on without any problems and has towed without any problems. Since the spring are 1 5/8" wide and the steel stock is 1 1/2 there is hardly no room for movement. It raised the camper 1 1/2" and now the rig tows level even with the toys in the back. We have re-torqued the bolts a couple of times now and will do it a couple more. I know some people are going to freak out about raising a trailer this way, but there are many others that do it a lot more unsafe methods. This has worked for him. May not work for you. Just something to consider."

You can also use thick walled square tubing and get the same results.

Take a look at the correct track system from mobile outfitters. You get 2 inches of height and a way to align your rig.

This could be an option? It corrects alignment issues AND raises the trailer 2".
