That is probably good as she has a good working thunderbolt and IMO doesn't need one

I think some providers have it now. VZ is supposed to start shipping "soon". I pre ordered one so I could keep my unlimited data plan and it is supposed to arrive by the 11th.

Haven't looked at the Galaxy but have tried an Android phone (motorola side flip). Bought it for the wife. Found it to be too buggy, freezes, and quite complicated. Swapped it out for an iPhone 3GS, up and running in 10 minutes and not one problem so far. Integrates with her windows desktop to keep track of her contacts, retrieves email from multiple servers, and best of all she's happy with it. Now we both have them (I had mine first), one thing to learn.

Sprint started selling them yesterday (7-1-12). That or the rumored iPhone 5 will be my next phone.

I also preordered the Galazy S3. Verizon has it scheduled to start shipping on July 10.

As another option, I have also read great things about the Razr Maxx. (Not the Razr, but Razr Maxx.) The Razr has very poor battery life.

Do a Google search and enter the phone model then the word `review' after it and read on. PC World.com gives it many stars.
Of course, the rap against all of these Smart phones is the low battery life; mine is less than 8 hours without doing anything!

I preordered it for my wife to keep the Unlimited Data. We currently have the Verizon Galaxy Nexus. The VZ Nexus is very similar to the Galaxy SII. The GSIII has a faster chipset and 2gb ram. It also has NFC built in. NFC is why I skipped the Razr and Rezound. Going to buy some NFC stickers for house/cars. The software of the GSIII has been rated good so far by most reviews.

Many people like the Iphone. However, it's small screen is a turn off. Recent UK study shows many people use the internet more than any other thing. My Nexus screen is alot easier to surf and HD Youtube. My wife reads lots of books on her screen.
