I am having issues with Lateral movement over my rear axle or Roll so to speak. I believe it to be becasue I am putting to much weight on the Air bags and reducing the load on the leaf springs. With teh bags being on the inside of the frame rail this narrows the foot print of the truck sitting on the axle. Which increases the Roll effect of the truck sitting over the axle. With the trailer being so tall the wind moves it like a sail. I have never noticed this with pulling my Flat Bed gooseneck with much heavier loads.

So I am going to put a Hellwig Sway bar on. If it does not get me the results I want then Hellwig 3500lb helper springs are going on to keep 100% of the load on the leaf springs.

The Helwig bar did for me.....

I was finding myself feeling unsure of the cornering ability. I was driving well below the posted speed on the windy mountain roads and getting tired quickly. I never felt this way with any of my other trailers and everyone kept talking up how great the 5ers tow.....

I think it is the overall height combined with the slightly higher than average pin weight and overhang in front of the pin that was making the difference.

I installed a 9" shorter Morryde pin box and moved my Companion to the rearmost position.....3" behind the axle. This lightened up the front axle about 95lb. and helped reduce cutting the corners in the tight stuff.

I can feel like driving like I'm not loaded though the corners.

How much air do you run in the bags?

I'm sure you'll get it dialed in. Great looking setup. We have the sister unit to it, the Road Warrior 30C and are EXTREMELY happy with it. Fit and finish have been top notch and after 2500 miles of camping this year, the only thing bad from the factory has been our water pump which is currently being swapped under warranty. Here's ours the day we got it home this spring. Lucky for me, no airbags needed with my TV so it tows like a champ right out of the box.

I run about 30psi in the bags. Didn't even check to see how much it sags without any air.

Pretty sure from what I have heard the Sway bar will be the fix that I am looking for.

I prefer the pin just in front of the axle. Trailers dont track as well when the connection is on or behind the axle.

check your air pressure and ratings of your tires also. sometimes you can get some wallowing from the tires that can be fixed with going to max air pressure on the tires. if the tires are under rated then getting the proper rated tires can also fix some of the unusual movement you describe.

questions

Would a RZR 900 lifted like yours with the factory roll cage fit in the garage?
Do you know the "real" pin weight?
What kind of tool box in the bed of truck?

one more question

Any concerns when hooking up the trailer or towing with the cap being so close to the cab?

There shouldn't be any that design was mad famous by the Glendale Titanium, a well proven design that is patented and now owned by Heartland.

My unloaded pin weight came in at 2410lb without a generator and 2850lb loaded with 330lb of batteries added to the front box.

No issues here with the cab. They are designed to be towed by a shortpecker without a slider and be able to turn 88*. I suppose on really uneven ground, it could contact the roof.....I only have 5" bed clearance and no issues yet.
