There are several RV parks/campgrounds there, all look pretty good on the web sites. Anyone have any first hand experience good/bad? Looking for something family friendly and allow our family mutt. Going to stay a few nights and explore the dinosaur museum with the kids. Thanks

Try rvparkreviews.com. I stayed at 2 but forgot the names, Dinasor Trail (I think was the name) was OK but I liked Hoodoo something. The Hoodoo one was a ways east of town and not close to anything whereas Dinasor Trail was just west of town and closer to most attractions. Just pick one...you should be OK.

We spent a couple of nights at the Hoodoo RV Resort and Campground. It was a good campground to stay at. Only problem we found was the number of mosquitos looking for a meal, we didn't linger outside.

Coloradans are considered mighty fine eatin' by Canadian skeeters. We have had a cool wet spring so the beggars are out with a vengeance.

River Grove, right in Drum. Probably one of the nicest cG's there. Lots of big mature trees, and right in town close to everything.
Dinosaur trail is ok, but be prepared to be harrassed by the hosts..
Everyone must be in doors at 10pm. End of story. In fact, the last time I was there, they said lights out at 10 (yes even inside trailer). That was the last time I stayed there.

We stayed at the one right in town, across the river from the museum. Stayed there for a week and really didn't have a problem other than not having a full hookup after reserving for one. We went out everyday to someplace new. Very different landscape compared to the flat country we came from.

We stayed in Beiseker and it worked out great. Works if you have a tow vehicle free or a toad.

We generally stay at Hanna, Prairie Oasis, overall we have had a great time there, nice little lake with a sand beach, although animals are not allowed there. It is about a 1/2 hr 45 minutes outside Drum, The problem with Drum is during the summer it is a tourist trap.

Yep..
I've got a 8 month old DD, that wakes up every 2-3 hours throughout the night, and sometimes she wants the world to know how good her lungs are. I'm pretty sure the hosts would kick us out the next day if she was vocal that night.
Frankly, I understand the need to enforce rules, but I don't agree with these rules.
Quiet time is one thing, lights out is a joke.
