Quoting myself here, from the earlier post. Standby for Chevy to put it in high gear.
p.s. I am wondering what the circumstances were, that brought him to you? I actually have heard that there are mellow min pins, but kind of like unicorns, I haven't seen one.

Hmmmm.... my 2 dogs IMMEDIATELY accepted Jimmy, sort of "took him under their wings" - had him housebroken in a matter of days, at 9 weeks old. Now that would be perfectly normal for my big Aussie who we've nicknamed "Mother Ike" - but for a Cattle Dog (Jack) to accept a strange dog... THAT'S remarkable! But Jimmy had all the "proper" puppy manners - was totally submissive to the others; "asked" before playing with a toy, etc.
If your other dogs are standoffish - maybe the pup is sending signals about his intentions to rule your household??

What exactly do you mean by "come around"?
How was the introduction made? In your home? In the yard? On neutral territory? Are you able to supervise the three of them closely? What have you been doing as far as helping the established dogs to adjust to the newcomer? What has been the reaction of the established dogs? How about the new kid?
Some details on what you have been doing since his arrival and what the dogs are doing might help.
Come around i mean stop ignoring him. The big dog acts like he isnt there and the little one growls if he gets close. Yesterday they were all out playing in the yard and the big one started to play with the puppy, so thats a good sign.
I had him in his kennel and had the dogs come out and sniff him in the front yard. Yes, wife stays at home and constantly watches all three.
Established dogs right now ignore him a bit. They were all eating next to each other yesterday, no growling, no noises. NIce and content.
Quote: Weeks, probably. No matter how cute he is or how "easy" he seems, you're going to need to really work at establishing this new pack configuration. If he is ready for outside walking, then walking the three together will be helpful. If not, walk with the other two to keep them happy and content and feeling connected to you. Be sure also to give the others PLENTY of attention when he's around. It's all too easy to fuss over the cute baby and not only does that create a negative association (puppy means being ignored) for the older dogs, it will give the puppy an inflated sense of his position.
Many really dominant dogs (as opposed to alpha wannabes) are actually very well behaved almost all of the time.... except when they are challenged. So don't be lulled into thinking that you won't have to work because he's "easy."
We will be going for our first walk together today. we have been showing the other 2 dogs way more attention. I never let the big one on the couch but she has been allowed to lay in my lap. That way the little dog can walk on her and i can monitor what she does.

You mean be totally awesome??? ahaha. Here is my other chevy.

Yesterday he went into high gear. My little chihuaha allows attacks my socks. But never gets my feet. This one attacked the socks and the feet. Puppy teeth are sharp.. SO i was working on that last night. The dog goes 100 percent, then 0 percent. ahaha.
My dad visited with his two min pins, and i wanted one. Never thought in a million years i would own a blue, let alone a blue min.

I think they were being that way due to the other 2 dogs we had visiting. To much to take at once. We will see how today is when we all go for awalk.
Blue is a neat color, also known as "dilute" and they sometimes develop skin and other chronic medical problems. Not all blue dogs, but some of them do. It's good to google it, just to know what to watch for in the future. How old is this pup?
This spring we introduced a leonberger baby girl to our crusty 10-year-old male Shih Tzu Pepper and his 4-year-old neurotic sister, Angel. They all get along pretty well, but we invested in having a dog trainer come to the house a few times to help us with the transition and for tips in training the Leo (Khaleesi). Money well spent.
They all camp with us with no issues. Khaleesi even wrestles with Angel by laying down the whole time so Angel can reach her.
We are told Shih Tzu live to be around 12, so we are having conversations about whether we will continue to be a 3-dog household when Pepper goes to the great doggie park in the sky.
Forest River Sunseeker 3170 bunkhouse. We travel with two shih tzu, a leonberger and, oh, yeah, two teens and a 6-year-old.

Awww, way cute! The neat thing is that your older two are not really old like ours. Min pins have incredible energy and can jump like a mountain goat. Ours lives to stalk lizards in the yard. Unfortunately, the lizards seek sanctuary in the cactus patch. A couple times, we have had to pull out cactus thorns. It doesn't even slow Darcy down.
Chevy's going to liven things up, that's for sure! How old is he?

Our 3rd dog just passed away in March....We had an 8 yr toy poodle, 11 yr chihuahua, and our best almost 14 pug was the one we lost. I love animals & could have more of them than common sense. We just bought our first motorhome today & even though we still miss our favorite guy, it might have been harder to travel with him. Not to say YOU shouldn't. We have two girls & he was the Old Man. Pugs can't take heat & he was in ill health with cancer/sarcoma so we couldn't consider buying the motorhome with him so sick. We wouldn't even leave him in a kennel either.
I think if there's a will there's a way. You might want to take short practice trips & see how it works out.
That's what we're going to have to do because, we also have a cat!
Good luck & let us know the outcome. I worked in Kirkland. Miss it.
